Fig Preserves & Fromager D’Affinois

Appetizers or Hors d’oeuvre (whatever your occasion or whatever you like to refer to them as) are HUGE with me! I think they are a great pre-dinner snack, perfect with wine, and are a crowd pleaser! I paired fig preserves with fromager d’affinois (similar to brie), marcona almonds, and served on top of a natural crispbread (thin wafer). Oh, my ….these bite size treats are mouth watering! The fig preserves are a nice compliment to the french double-cream soft cheese made from cows milk and the marcona almond (from spain) adds a sweet & salty crunch and flavor. I highly recommend these when entertaining or just having the girls over some wine and cheese!

    I’ve been making this for years! Its delicious and beatiful as a small round brie (8-16oz) with the fig spread and marcona almonds on top like a beartiful cake. Great for showing off!
